Responsibilities and Duties
Marine Patrol Officers are Seasonal Part Time employees that must work a minimum of 3 patrol shifts a month during the summer boating season. Our goal is to maintain a safe and fun environment while enforcing boating laws and regulations of the State of Connecticut.on Lake Housatonic.
Shifts are from 12pm to 8pm or 10am to 6pm on Saturday's, Sunday's and Holidays.
Patrols are scheduled for weekends and holidays during the summer months. May-October
Qualifications and Skills Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Must have experience operating small vessels. Must attend all training classes in the CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection training program. Must be over the age of 21. Must pass swim test. Must pass State conducted background check. Must have a letter from a physician stating they are healthy enough to perform duties. Must have valid CPR Card. Must be certified in First Aid. (Requirement may be waived if person is an EMR or EMT) Must have valid Motor Vehicle Operators license and a Connecticut Safe Boating Certificate. Must complete Field Training.
Must have good penmanship and must be able to communicate clearly using radio.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
