Lake Junaluska Assembly Inc is seeking a highly skilled Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests, visitors, employees, and property owners.
Your primary responsibility will be to serve and protect the conference center and surrounding community. This includes providing security to all guests, visitors, employees, and property owners at Lake Junaluska Assembly. You will also be responsible for daily grounds patrol, traffic control assistance for events, courtesy residential house checks, and responding to medical calls and emergency situations.
In this role, you will work closely with the Sheriff's Office and report to the Security leadership. You must be able to operate independently and use sound judgment in achieving objectives. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be comfortable with stopping cars and handling uncooperative individuals, and be able to maintain a valid driver's license.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Related experience and/or training
- CPR/AED certification and other required training
- Valid driver's license
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions:
- Performing moderate to extensive physical activities primarily of a security nature
- Working outdoors exposed to extreme elements
- Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items
- Ability to communicate and hear staff and customer requests or complaints
