Security Officer (Level II Non-Commissioned)

Lake Kiowa is a gated residential community with many wonderful amenities including an eighteen-hole championship golf course and private lake. Access to the community is limited to members and their guest.

Lake Kiowa Security provides guard service (Level II) 24 hours a day. The main objective of the Security Department is to provide a safe place for employees, residents, and guests of the community. The following are various duties of the Security Department:

JOB DUTIES

• Control access into the community
• Dispatch Security Officers to calls for service
• Monitor CCTV & Security Systems
• Perform routine patrol (vehicle and foot) in order to identify security risk, safety hazards, and maintenance issues

• Enforce community Rules and Procedures
• Lake Patrol (seasonal)
• Various other security administrative duties
• Collaborate with law enforcement

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to pass a criminal background screening and drug screening
• Have a valid drivers license with clean driving record
• State Certified Level II or the ability to receive license within thirty days
• Ability to easily navigate through various computer programs
• Ability to conduct foot patrols and stand for extended period of time
• Ability to communicate well with others in written and verbal form
• Maintain composure during high stress encounters
• Adhere to department policy and standard operating procedures
• Ability to work outside in extreme weather conditions
• Must be available for varied shifts, weekends, and holidays.
