Lake Kiowa is a private lake and golf community nestled along the country roads and equestrian farmlands an hour north of the DFW Metroplex. Unique in its location and amenities, this private, gated community offers a country club lifestyle in a relaxed lake setting. In addition to the beautiful lake and beaches, the community offers a challenging and highly manicured golf-course, playgrounds, open spaces, walking trails, a brand new, state-of-the-art pavilion, campgrounds, and the Lodge featuring meeting rooms and a full-service restaurant and bar.
We are looking for a responsible Front of the House Server to work at our Lodge. The lodge menu will feature at least 25% Farm to Table offerings. This job will be performed in a casual dining setting with both indoor and Patio seating for membership.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming and sitting diners comfortably in the dining section
- Taking customers' food and drink orders
- Collaborating with the kitchen and bar staff for prompt and correct delivery of orders
- Memorizing the menu and recommend appetizers, meals and drinks from restaurant wine stock
- Delivering a memorable dining experience by resolving all customer issues promptly
- Assisting with the tidying of tables, clearing leftovers and keeping the dining area neat and pleasant
- Setting tables and rearranging the dining area to accommodate larger groups and prepare the restaurant for special events
- Ensuring cooking utensils and kitchen area are cleaned after closing to comply with state regulations
Skills
- Prior experience in a food-serving establishment a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of winery and different types of cuisines a plus
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems
- High level of stamina to work to work on feet for extended periods
- Ability to work well under intense time pressure
- Dedication to on-time arrival for shifts
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and carry trays, plates and small wares
- Available to work a variety of hours, days and shifts, including weekends
- Ability to safely transport food or beverages to a table of three in a single trip
- Polite and hospitable attitude'
We see this position having the potential to earn $35,000 - $45,000 per year, with wages and tips combined.
