What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tutor position at Lake Land College?
JOB
Tutors are employed part-time to assist students who request tutoring in specific college courses and/or general study skills. Tutors also assist with tutoring English to non-native speakers through the English as a Second Language curriculum. Direct supervision and payment of tutors is provided under the Director of Student Success Services, although partial funding for tutors may come from the Perkins Grant. Other duties may be assigned by the Director or the Perkins Coordinator.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
1. Tutors students in Lake Land College courses.2. Tutors students in English as a Second Language.3. Tutor students in other college-related programs, including but not limited to GED and BNA courses.4. Assist with promotional events and programs geared towards augmenting usage of the Tutoring Center.5. Performs other duties as assigned.
