Locations: Clinton Township, Southfield, and Milford, MI (Must be able to work at all 3 locations)
Lake Lazer Eye Center is looking for an Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. We are a leading ophthalmology practice specializing in LASIK, SMILE, PRK, and full-service eye care. This position requires travel between all three locations (Clinton Township, Southfield, and Milford, MI)—candidates must be available to work at each office as needed.
Position Details:
- Flexible scheduling (Full-Time, Part-Time, or Flex)
- Benefits available for full-time employees
- Primary role is as an ophthalmic technician, but cross-training in other positions can lead to a full-time opportunity
- We need someone to provide coverage for vacations, absences, and busy periods
Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-testing and diagnostic imaging (OCT, topography, visual fields, etc.)
- Assist in LASIK and SMILE consultations and educate patients on procedures
- Prepare patients for exams and administer eye drops as needed
- Maintain and calibrate ophthalmic equipment
- Ensure smooth patient flow and support the doctor during exams
- Accurately document patient history and test results

Requirements:
- Must be able to work at all three locations (Clinton Township, Southfield, and Milford)
- Previous experience as an ophthalmic or optometric technician is a plus, but we will train the right candidate
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy
