What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Clerk position at Lake Leaf Cultivation?
The Opportunity
The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for compiling information and maintaining accurate records of quantity, type and value of products, equipment, and supplies for Lake Leaf Cultivation. This includes receiving and processing of all cannabis seeds, clones, plants as they move through the facility, and ship to clients.
What You Get to Do
- Orders, receives and maintains a documented inventory of all plants and related supplies.
- Verify amount of waste and unusable material.
- Inputs the proper information of issues and returns for all assets within Lake Leaf Cultivation.
- Held accountable for the control, accuracy, and thoroughness of inventory.
- Report discrepancies and inventory shortages.
- Keep management up to date regarding inventory inflow and outflow.
- Compile inventory information and present it to management with recommendations for effective decision making, which may include the need for restock or for quick resolution of issues.
- Update costs and retail of goods for every invoice that is received.
- Add all new items to the inventory system before they are put into rooms.
- Check deliveries as they arrive to the facility to ensure they are following Serv Safe guidelines.
- Create tags for plants and ensure they are updated as they move through facility.
- Receives, counts material, equipment, merchandise and supplies in stock, and posts totals to inventory records.
- Maintains accurate, updated files from management and miscellaneous vendors.
- Compares inventories to office records or computes figures from records, such as sales orders, production records or purchase invoices, to obtain current inventory.
- Inspects merchandise received, verifies that it is in good condition, and enters the required information into the inventory system.
- Maintains a neat, clean work area, in compliance with safety standards.
- Maintains a working knowledge of Lake Leaf Cultivation facilities and cannabis life cycle from seed to sale.
- Prepares boxes for shipment as designated by Lake Leaf Cultivation management team.
- Coordinates with the Lake Leaf Cultivation management team, to resolve problems related to shipping.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

What Qualifies You (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:)
- At least two (2) years’ inventory experience.
- Experience with database updating, preferably Metrc
- Must be able to secure license from Regulatory Agency
- Responsible for following all relevant Cannabis Regulations.
- Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process.
Must Haves
- Must be 21 years of age
- Superior technical and communication skills.
- Must be able to apply common sense understanding to a variety of situations, to collect data, analyze facts, and determine an appropriate response.
- Must have attention to detail and repetitive work
