Position Overview:
LLCA seeks a dynamic and creative Director of Marketing and Public Relations to lead the school’s outreach, branding, and community engagement efforts. This role is responsible for writing and publishing articles, managing social media, representing the school at community events, fundraising, grant writing, and student recruitment. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, a strategic thinker, and passionate about promoting classical education while fostering strong relationships within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing & Communications:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and public relations strategy to promote LLCA’s mission, programs, and achievements.
- Write and publish articles, press releases, newsletters, and website content to engage families, staff, and the broader community.
- Manage and create content for social media platforms, ensuring consistent messaging and engagement.
- Design and distribute marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, and digital advertisements.
- Monitor public perception and media coverage of LLCA, ensuring a positive and accurate representation of the school.
Community Engagement & Public Relations:
- Serve as LLCA’s representative at community events, school fairs, and networking opportunities to promote the school.
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, civic organizations, and media outlets to increase awareness and support for LLCA.
- Develop partnerships with local leaders and stakeholders to strengthen LLCA’s presence in the region.
- Organize and lead open house events, tours, and information sessions for prospective families.
Fundraising & Grant Writing:
- Lead fundraising initiatives and campaigns to support school programs and operations.
- Identify and apply for grants, sponsorships, and other funding opportunities to enhance LLCA’s resources.
- Work with the school leadership and Board of Directors to develop long-term fundraising strategies.
- Organize and promote school-wide fundraising events and community drives.
Student Recruitment & Enrollment Growth:
- Develop and implement student recruitment strategies to increase enrollment.
- Engage with prospective families, answer inquiries, and conduct school tours.
- Create and distribute recruitment materials that highlight the benefits of LLCA’s classical education model.
- Track and analyze enrollment trends to inform future outreach efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business, Education, or a related field.
- Experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or community engagement.
- Strong writing and editing skills with experience in article writing, press releases, and social media content.
- Ability to create engaging and persuasive marketing materials.
- Experience with social media management, website content creation, and digital marketing strategies.
- Knowledge of fundraising, donor relations, and grant writing.
- Passion for education, classical learning, and community engagement.
- Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills to effectively represent LLCA.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a school or nonprofit organization.
- Familiarity with charter school operations and enrollment strategies.
- Graphic design and multimedia content creation experience.
