Position: Summer Camp Counselor
Summary of Position: Lake Mary Preparatory School was founded in 1999 and continues to be one of the top co-educational, private, international prep schools in Seminole County serving students in grades PreK 3 through 12.
We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic individual to join our team for an engaging and rewarding summer camp experience. Our summer camp is for students in PreK through 8th grade. This is a seasonal position from May 22nd - July 25th. We have two different shift options: 7:30 am - 4 pm or 8 am - 4:30 pm; 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise campers during activities, field trips, meals, and free time
- Ensure a safe, fun, and engaging environment
- Lead activities both indoors and outdoors
- Foster a positive, enriching camp environment
- Communicate effectively with campers and parents
- Collaborate with other camp staff to ensure smooth program execution
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of camp facilities and equipment
Qualifications Needed
- High School Diploma or higher
- Must be 18 years of age and have reliable transportation
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and work in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for working with children and creating positive camp experiences
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- First Aid/CPR Certification a plus
