Lake Mead Christian Ministries (LMCM) Minister - LMCA High School Teacher

Job Type : Full Time (part-time option available-benefits & compensation will change)

Department : High School (Academy)

Reports to : High School Principal

Compensation : $40,000-$46,000 based on experience and education (Additional compensation may be offered for advanced education degrees.)

Job Summary : This position is responsible for a full-time (part-time available) teaching schedule with one prep period. Hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 7 : 30 AM-3 : 30 PM. Teachers may also be asked to teach a Bible Class. Additional duties may include lunch supervision and dismissal supervision once a week. Teachers are required to attend monthly team meetings, which take place in the afternoon (3 : 00 - 3 : 45 PM), and a monthly Bible meeting which takes place in the morning (7 : 00 - 7 : 30 AM). Course descriptions are available upon receiving the application.

Essential Job Functions :

Writes weekly lesson plans
Grades materials within a timely manner and enters into FACTS
Gives students consistent and regular feedback
Reaches out to parents regularly to communicate student successes, challenges, and behaviors.
Follows school policies in the classroom
Works with a subject department head in scheduling the curriculum for the school year.
Uses Google Classroom and FACTS
Has the potential to gain dual enrollment approval (master-level math teacher)
Knows how to use a graphing calculator and can teach others
Assigns daily work including quizzes (1 to 2 a week), 1 test per chapter, and at least 2 cumulative tests a year

Strongly committed to improving academic outcomes for all students

Demonstrates proficiency in communication, both oral and written, among parents, students, colleagues, and other stakeholders

Demonstrates proficiency in technology integration

Has experience working with educational technology platforms such as Google Suite

Demonstrates high-quality, positive classroom management

Inspires trust and models high standards of integrity

Is a “team player” who inspires others by example

Participates in and supports Lake Mead Christian Ministries activities

Qualifications & Experience :

Possesses the ability to pass a pre-employment criminal history background check and fingerprinting.

A valid degree from an accredited institution of higher education (minimum of a BA or BS)

Has experience in the classroom

Salary : $40,000 - $46,000
