What are the responsibilities and job description for the (Seasonal) Buildings Maintenance Worker position at Lake Metroparks?
PAY RATE: $13.05 per hour (up to 600 hours per year or 120 days per season).
Eligible part-time employees will receive up to a $5.75 per hour retention bonus for all hours worked from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Additionally, eligible seasonal employees will receive a $0.60 per hour seasonal bonus for all hours worked. Click here for details.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Work activities in this position primarily involve the maintenance of buildings and other park structures.

- Cleans and maintains all restrooms in picnic areas and other locations as assigned.
- Paints interior and exterior of buildings.
- Paints signs, benches and tables.
- Cleans buildings-sweeping, mopping, dusting, windows.
- Ability to load, unload and move materials between work locations.
- Ability to traverse sandy, marshy or wooded areas with even or uneven terrain.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work varied hours depending upon park demands.
- Ability to get along with co-workers, supervisors, and park visitors.
- Will be required to work assigned Special Events, Weekends, Evenings and Holidays.
- Will be required to adjust schedule to meet organizational needs.
- Ability to perform essential duties.
- Ability to understand and carry out oral & written instructions.
