The SS Badger is a coal-fired passenger and vehicle ferry that has been in service on Lake Michigan since 1953. The ship shuttles between Ludington, Michigan, and Manitowoc, Wisconsin, 62 miles, connecting U.S. Highway 10 between those two cities.
We have an exciting opportunity for Customer Service aboard the SS Badger. Starting pay for this role is $13.00/hour for days and $13.35/hour for nights. This position also receives tips, holiday pay, 401K, and the opportunity to earn an end of season bonus of $0.50 for every hour worked. Currently hiring both Michigan and Wisconsin residents for the 2025 season. Must be able to obtain a USCG Merchant Mariner Credential and a Transportation Worker Identification Credential. Lake Michigan Car Ferry assists in obtaining these documents.
Job Summary:
Customer Service is responsible for ensuring customer safety and enjoyment. Tasks include taking customers’ orders, maintaining cleanliness of passenger areas, preparing food, maintaining equipment, operating a cash register, giving correct change, and assisting passengers.
Customer Service plays a key role for our customers experience every day and must provide professional, friendly, and courteous guest interactions and guest services. In addition to maintaining our vision by adhering to our values, this position must provide the highest level of service to our guests while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor.
