About this position:
The Aircraft Business Development Officer reviews any direct or indirect loan requests to determine strength to move forward in the underwriting process. Communicates with customer and brokers to obtain necessary documentation for credit review and submits complete loan requests to aircraft underwriting for review. Provides feedback to customers and/or brokers regarding credit questions/decisions and gathers closing details for a smooth transfer to loan doc prep and closing.
What you’ll do:
  • Calls on potential and/or existing members to develop new loan business and increase/retain relationships with current members. Analyze any new direct loan requests and prepares and coordinates loan closings, ensuring all documents are properly prepared and executed. Communicates with members and brokers to obtain necessary documentation for credit review.
  • Develops and strengthens the loan referral network, using leads to achieve loan goals. Explores and pursues new markets for aircraft loans.
  • Approves all closing details for a smooth transfer to loan doc prep and closing. Facilitates and maintains the aircraft loan closing process working directly with customers, brokers, escrow, sellers and the lender to complete loan closing.
  • Provides appropriate customer service support and direction to all parties associated with the loan closing and serves as main point of contact throughout the aircraft loan closing process. Lock and sync systems post-closing/booking to archive all closing materials and information according to the requirements of the Aviation Loan Operations Department.
  • Responsible to obtain any necessary (wires) for funding. Works in conjunction with the Aviation Loan Operations Department to provide necessary booking information and maintain current customer files according to regulations and requirements both on a federal and bank level.
  • Provides support for loan documentation preparation as needed.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing or a related field.
  • Three years to five years of similar or related experience preferred.
  • Courtesy and tact are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with customers and others inside and outside the organization, generally regarding fairly routine matters for the purposes of giving and obtaining information or instructions, updating or referring. Communications generally require shorter and not in-depth discussions.
  • Relationship management and sales and negotiation skills.
  • Creativity, organization and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to develop lasting professional relationships with clients.
