About this position:
LMCU is looking for a BSA Analytics Manager who will be responsible for driving analytical solutions that provide business insights and support compliance with BSA/AML/OFAC regulations. This role involves designing, developing, validating, and managing data models, BI reports, dashboards, and other analytical tools that help ensure the credit union’s compliance and enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in delivering impactful analytical solutions, advising leadership, and mentoring team members.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and manage analytical solutions: lead the design, development, validation, and management of data models, business intelligence reports, dashboards, and other analytical tools within the BSA/AML/OFAC compliance domain.
- Collaborate with technology teams: work closely with technology partners, including data management teams, to gather and analyze data that supports compliance and business objectives.
- Ad-hoc data analysis: deliver data-driven insights and analyses to support various business needs, including audits, exams, projects, and operational challenges.
- Present data insights: prepare and present well-documented insights and recommendations to management, auditors, and examiners to support compliance and business needs.
- Advise leadership: provide expert advice to BSA/AML/OFAC leadership on solving business challenges through data analytics, including identifying key opportunities and designing effective solutions.
- Manage escalated issues: serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external inquiries related to BSA analytics, including responding to auditors, validators, and regulators on complex issues.

- 5 years of experience in a data analytics role, including requirements gathering, development, validation/testing, and optimization.
- 3 years of applied experience in AML, OFAC, fraud detection, financial crimes, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, or a related quantitative field (e.g., math, economics, MIS); a master’s degree is preferred.
- Proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI), and statistical analysis languages (e.g., Python).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
