Job Title : Commercial Lending Intern
Primary Location : Grand Rapids, MI
Employee Status : Part Time Hourly
Estimated Hours / Week : Twenty - Twenty Five, Starting May 2025
About this Position :
The Commercial Lending Intern will gain exposure to the Commercial Lending process with a specific focus on portfolio data input & portfolio.
What you'll be doing :
Developing an understanding of the software utilized by the department.
Reviewing loan files to identify specific underwriting measures.
Inputting data into the analytics systems. This includes both manual data entry as well as implementing automated data imports from the Credit Union’s lending core.
Customizing and generating output reports to be used by the Commercial Lending management team.
Additional credit underwriting duties as time allows including : spreading financial statements, reviewing credit underwriting documents, updating administrative tracking.
What you'll bring :
Ability to be in the office approximately 20 hours a week between 8 : 00AM – 5 : 00PM for roughly 3 months.
College student freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, or master level status, or a recent college graduate within the last 3 months.
3.0 GPA or greater.
Student majoring in Accounting, Finance or related field of study is preferred.
