Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Helper to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a variety of skills in residential painting, mechanical knowledge, and facilities maintenance, along with a strong commitment to customer service. As a Maintenance Helper, you will work closely with senior maintenance staff to support various maintenance tasks and projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of building systems including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
- Perform residential painting tasks to maintain aesthetic quality.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
- Read and interpret schematics for various systems and equipment.
- Operate tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents or clients.
- Support supervising staff in managing maintenance schedules and priorities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and tools.
- Collaborate with team members on larger projects while demonstrating leadership qualities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems.
- Familiarity with residential painting techniques is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand schematics related to building systems.
- Proficiency in English for effective communication with team members and clients.
- Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating professionalism at all times.
- Experience with logic controllers is advantageous but not required.
- Leadership abilities to assist in supervising tasks when necessary.
