MAIN FUNCTION:
The Personal Training Coordinator (PTC) is a key member of the Fitness and Wellness Department. Must display a concentrated knowledge of specific health and wellness related matters including but not limited to delivering exercise prescriptions to varying age and ability levels, conducting pre-activity assessments, administering health and fitness focused programming and providing a structured system designed to support and motivate members in their wellness journey. Experienced in overseeing and executing a comprehensive and individualized approach to whole-person health and the associated service offering designed to achieve an optimal state of wellbeing. This is inclusive of delivering safe and effective exercise prescriptions protocols and employing basic lifestyle and behavior management principles. The position includes management of the Personal Training staff, the budget and business operations of the Personal Training department, and the implementation, process review, and training of Launch Wellness Assessments. The Head Coach will oversee the overall growth of personal training and assisting in oversight of Fitness and Wellness Department revenue generating programs, thus it is paramount this position exhibits excellent leadership, effective communication, exemplary customer service-related skills, and leading by example through delivering Fitness and Wellbeing services.

DIRECT REPORTS: Personal Trainer, Fitness Service Associates
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or related field (exercise physiology, athletic training, public health)
- NCCA Certifications such as, but not limited to: NATA- AT; ACSM- EP/CPT, NASM- CES, BLS/AED
HIRING REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of three years of strong, progressive experience in exercise prescription and health/wellness coaching for healthy and special populations
- Demonstrated success in providing fitness services and excellent customer service within IWP
- No written disciplinary action within the last 12 months
- Pass Background Check
- Eligible to work in the United States
PREFERRED SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
- Minimum of three years of management experience
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills needed for exemplary customer service; outgoing, friendly, and compassionate
- Excellent leadership qualities needed to build and manage a team in a performance-driven environment.
- Technologically savvy with the ability to function well within business management software systems, customer portals and member apps.
Master's Degree in pertinent field of study
