Retail Sales Associate

Position: Retail Store Associate

Location: Retail Store
Reports to: Store Manager
Status: Full Time/Non-Exempt

Position Purpose: Through their knowledge of product and store programs the Retail Associate ensures maximum sales and customer experience in their stores.

Essential Job Functions:

Ensures that there is adequate store coverage for superior customer service at all times

Ensures store cleanliness and appearance at all times

Responsible for store implementation of all merchandising, marketing and store presentation plans and standards

Responsible for achieving planned performance levels for the store

Responsible for implementation and execution of all company policies for both customer and employee

Accepts additional responsibility as assigned by Store Manager

Responsible for product knowledge and sales support on all big-ticket items i.e. above ground pools, spas, liners, winter covers and etc.

Ensures customer inquiries and problems are resolved promptly demonstrating courtesy, fairness, and equity

Responsible for understanding and becoming an expert on operation of the point of sale system, water labs and phone systems

Follows correct pricing and tagging procedures

Conducts daily visual inspection of floor stock and restocks as necessary

Position Requirements:

Strong Sales Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Past Merchandising and Marketing experience a plus

A passion for the retail pool and spa industry

General working knowledge of personal computers

Available to work weekends (Saturdays)

Physical Requirements:

Medium work. Lifts up to 50 lbs regularly
