Risk Manager / Facility Compliance Officer
Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 for RNs
Overview:
Lake Norman Regional Medical Center is seeking a Risk Manager / Facility Compliance Officer to direct and maintain the hospital's risk management and compliance program. This role is responsible for ensuring a safe environment for patient care, minimizing risks, preventing liability claims, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Risk Manager will also assist in directing the Patient Safety Program, focusing on systems analysis, safety improvement, and staff education. The Facility Compliance Officer’s duties include oversight, training, auditing, monitoring, and investigations related to facility compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and maintain the hospital's risk management and compliance program.
- Coordinate efforts to minimize risks and prevent liability claims while promoting patient safety.
- Assist in managing the Patient Safety Program, conducting systems analysis and safety improvements.
- Facilitate educational programs to address identified needs and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Perform oversight and monitoring of compliance with State/Federal laws, The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, and CMS regulations.
- Conduct audits, investigations, and provide training on risk management and compliance matters.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Risk Management in an acute care facility.
- Strong knowledge of TJC, State Licensure, CMS regulations, and malpractice prevention processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Nursing/Business Administration, or related field (or actively pursuing).
- Current unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina.
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred.
