What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Marina Attendant position at Lake of the Woods Association?
Overview
To oversee the daily operations of Lake of the Woods Main Marina and to manage marina attendants.
Duties
- Provide oversight of marina operations.
- Supervise and manage the Marina Attendants in coordination with the Operations Manager.
- Prepare Marina Attendant work schedules in coordination with the Operations Manager.
- Provide outstanding, friendly customer service to all Marina patrons.
- Pump fuel in accordance with Marina Operations Guidelines.
- Collect payment for fuel and perform cashiering function.
- Perform administrative paperwork and recordkeeping correctly.
- Perform routine Marina inspections and report safety or maintenance issues to Manager.
- Maintain proper inventory and requisition supplies as needed.
- Provide occasional assistance to Manager with various tasks including data collection and processing.
- Must be accessible and available in the event of emergencies or when needed to meet ongoing events of the Marina.
Experience
- Prior supervisory/managerial experience required
- Customer service experience
- Experience with cash handling and fuel pumping is preferred.
Marina Hours of Operation
- The Marina opens for operation during the first of April. The Marina is open from 9:30am-5:30pm on Saturdays and Sundays until Memorial Day. The Marina opens for Summer hours on Memorial Day, and will be open Tuesday-Friday from 12pm-7pm, and on Saturday-Sunday from 9:30am-5:30pm until Labor Day. Following Labor Day, the Marina will revert back to weekends only from 9:30am-5:30pm until the end of October.
- The Lead Marina Attendant will work weekends only until Memorial Day, and will work an average of 25-35 hours/week along with 3 Marina Attendants from Memorial Day until Labor Day. The Lead Marina Attendant will then work weekends only after Labor Day until the end of October.
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
