Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to administrative tasks. Responsibilities
- Assists with maintenance of financial records
- Maintain the SWCD checkbook, payroll journals, and other program ledgers
- Processing payroll using Quickbooks assisted payroll
- Manage front desk operations, including greeting visitors and answering phone calls with professionalism.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, maintaining up-to-date records.
- Assist with calendar management, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings.
- Handle office correspondence, including emails and memos, ensuring timely communication.
- Support administrative functions such as filing, organizing documents, and maintaining office supplies.
- Operate office equipment and phone systems effectively to facilitate daily operations.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve office efficiency.
Experience
- Four years related experience, or 2 years post-secondary degree with 2 years related experience.
- Previous experience in an office or administrative role is preferred.
- Strong computer literacy skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- A passion for natural resources
