Starting range of pay for School Office Coordinators for the 2024-2025 school year is $19.12 - $24.22/hour. This amount will be updated once the new salary schedule for 2025/2026 has been approved by the LPOSD Board.
Job Duties:

Job Duties:
- Answers main phone line for the school, responding to or directing inquiries as appropriate
- Greets and assists visitors
- Maintains student cumulative files including registration forms, immunization records, report cards, etc
- Maintains data in electronic student information system (SIS)
- Forwards student records to other in-district building upon student transfer, or to District Office upon student withdrawal from district
- Maintains student attendance records and contacts families as required by federal and state regulations when a student has an unexcused absence
- Maintains fiduciary funds
- Receipts payments, balances cash drawer and deposits funds daily to district bank accounts
- Manages the use of requisitions, and creates purchase orders to ensure accountability for expenditures
- Reviews building budget accounts monthly and reports any discrepancies/concerns to Building Principal
- Manages substitute management system, ensuring coverage for building absences on a daily basis
- Gathers monthly payroll submissions for the building and submits to Payroll Specialist
- Provides scheduled reports regarding budget, student enrollment and attendance to Building Principal
- Prepares and distributes monthly school newsletter
- Prepares and distributes student test score reports and quarterly report cards, following district procedure
- Administers medications to students following instructions provided by healthcare provider and as designated in the student’s district health plan
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate’s degree in Education or Business preferred
- 4 years’ work experience with secretarial and customer service responsibilities
- 1 year work experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable and/or general ledger preferred
- Working knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing and database systems
- First Aid & CPR Certification within 90 days of hire, and maintenance of current certificate thereafter
