Lake Region Arts Council in Fergus Falls, MN is looking for a motivated and experienced Grants Manager to join our team. As a Grants Manager, you will play a vital role in helping artists and arts organizations in our region secure funding for their projects.
About Us:
Lake Region Arts Council (LRAC) serves the counties of Becker, Clay, Douglas, Grant, Otter Tail, Pope, Stevens, Traverse, and Wilkin in west-central Minnesota. We are dedicated to supporting and promoting the arts in our region through grants, programs, and services that enhance the quality of life for all residents. LRAC is governed by an 18-member Board of Directors, and we have 3 full-time staff members. Our mission is to encourage and invest in the arts by providing funding, fostering collaboration, and advocating for the arts in our west-central Minnesota communities.
The Grants Manager Position:
This job is located in Fergus Falls, MN. Relocation or commute is required, and a hybird work schedule is negotiable. Tech equipment is provided. The job is full-time and the compensation is $22-$25 per hour, depending on experience. The position is benefitted, including HRA, vacation, sick leave and retirement. Work hours: 8 AM to 4 PM Monday through Friday, occasional evenings.
Qualifications:
Required
- Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in managing grant programs in a nonprofit, foundation or government field; or, experience in other systems such as bookkeeping or accounting where attention to detail, organizational skills and communication competency are priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including mail merge, data management and spreadsheets
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders
Preferred
- Previous experience in grant writing and management
- Passion for the arts and a commitment to supporting artists and arts organizations
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full life cycle of grant proposals, from researching potential funding opportunities to submitting final reports
- Develop and maintain relationships with funding agencies, foundations, and other Regional Arts Councils around Minnesota
- Collaborate with artists and arts organizations to help them craft compelling grant proposals
- Track and report on grant funds received and how they are allocated
- Stay up-to-date on best practices and trends in grant writing and management
- Provide tech expertise and troubleshooting for LRAC staff, Board and patrons as necessary; serve as resident expert in the Foundant grant platform
