Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Medical Assistant (MA) - 3
$5,000 sign-on bonus with two year work commitment! Bonus applies to LPN or MA hires only.
The Phone Nurse will plan and manage care according to each patient’s needs. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Interviewing patients and recording their medical history
- Obtaining patient vital signs and escorting patients to their rooms
- Administering injections of medications
- Verifying that patient charts are updated promptly and accurately
- Demonstrate oral, written, telephone, and electronic skills to adequately communicate
- Demonstrate successful interventions to manage conflict, work effectively in a constantly changing environment, and able to tolerate emotional stress
- Computer skills including electronic health record and computer assisted instruction
- Ability to work in a stressful environment with quick changes in acuity and/or census, utilize effective time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to use assertiveness skills and maintain composure
- Ability to maintain concentration with multiple interruptions and appropriately prioritize needs
Hours/Shifts
80 hours biweekly, day shifts
Compensation:
The pay range for this position, if hired as an LPN, is $23.10-$31.06/hour. The pay range for this position, if hired as a Medical Assistant, is $21.99- $28.15/hour. Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations.

Qualifications
Education, Experience & Skills Required
- Graduate of a Practical Nursing or Medical Assistant Program
- Prior experience in a clinical health care setting preferred.
- Knowledgeable of medical terminology, procedures and techniques.
- Friendly, customer service oriented with professional demeanor and appearance.
- Epic EMR experience preferred.
License, Registration and/or Certification
- Current MN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
