Description
The Pharmacist serves patients by preparing medications, providing pharmacological information and monitoring patient drug therapies. This position reports to the Pharmacy Manager and interacts with hospital employees, volunteers, Administration, students, community members, clinic personnel, physicians and patients of all ages. Effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Pharmacist duties vary, as this position can encompass hospital and/or cancer center centralized, decentralized and ambulatory care responsibilities. Specific assignments, days/hours worked, and degree of cross-training is determined according to facility needs, unless other arrangements are established. This position must follow policies, procedures, guidelines and standards as required by hospital policy, applicable agency regulations, and evidence-based medicine. The Pharmacist must be able to work independently, appropriately handle stressful situations, adapt to a changing work environment and effectively supervise Pharmacy Technicians.
Compensation:
Hourly Wage Range: $61.18 - $78.52. Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations.

Qualifications
Job Qualifications:
Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skill, and/or ability.
1. Holds an active license to practice pharmacy in Minnesota. Must maintain license in good standing as required by the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy.
2. Successfully completes a pre-employment background check, health screening and/or additional processes as applicable.
3. Attends work site per schedule, yet can be flexible with scheduling to meet emergency staffing needs. Must be on call and/or work weekends as assigned.
4. Proficiently operates a computer and is capable of using required software programs.
5. Accurately follows oral and written instructions, pays attention to detail and follows through with encountered tasks.
6. Effectively communicates with fellow staff and contributes to the team effort.
Shifts:
Must be flexible to work variety of shifts during week and on weekends.
