Job Summary
The English for Workforce Success Program Coordinator P/T position assists the Workforce Development department by providing subject matter expertise in developing the English for Workforce Success Program’s courses. This is a part time position, encompassing up to 6 hours per week, and concluding on June 30, 2025, or earlier as agreed upon by the candidate and departmental needs.
The Student Success Coordinator is responsible for demonstrating LSSC’s values of Caring, Communicating, Collaborating, and celebrating.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Academic program and curriculum content research and design.
- External stakeholder outreach which includes meeting with local businesses to establish needs and expectations for training, program outcomes, and employee preparation.
- Translate employer needs to align with coursework.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Ability to manage time and meet deadlines
- Ability to produce professional documentation
- English language acquisition and related subject matter expertise
Minimum Qualifications & Education
- Masters’ degree in a related field
- Curriculum and program design and management experience
- Higher education experience a plus
- Well versed in the latest pedagogy in teaching English to adults
