What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Assistant, Creative Multimedia Marketing position at Lake-Sumter State College?
This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity for a current student to gain valuable work experience while contributing to the success of Lake Sumter State College. The Student Assistant will provide essential support, working closely with faculty and staff to ensure efficient operation or departmental activities.
This is a part-time position with an expected commitment of 20-25 hours per week. The schedule will be flexible to accommodate the student's academic and other responsibilities.
Responsible for demonstrating LSSC's values of Caring, Communicating, Collaborating, and Celebrating.
Students cannot work during class meeting times.
- Updating media monitors with digital screen content
- Create content for social media channels - Facebook, X, and Instagram
- Assist in developing ideas for social media posts
- Assist with photography for events and materials
- Assist in updating the Lake-Sumter State College website
- Assist in the design of materials for both print and electronic distribution
- Assist in the production of graphics for websites and social media
- Maintain College branding consistency in all design
- Continue enhancing their knowledge of design programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Collaboration and the ability to work closely with others is required for success in this position.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
- Knowledge of photography & multimedia and graphic design
- Knowledge of Figma
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

- Currently enrolled at Lake Sumter State College (min. 6 credit hours)
- Currently, hold and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA
- Minimum age of 18
