What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Assistant, Digital Media Video Production position at Lake-Sumter State College?
This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity for a current student to gain valuable work experience while contributing to the success of Lake Sumter State College. The Student Assistant will provide essential support, working closely with faculty and staff to ensure efficient operation or departmental activities.
This is a part-time position with an expected commitment of 20-25 hours per week. The schedule will be flexible to accommodate the student's academic and other responsibilities. Responsible for demonstrating LSSC's values of Caring, Communicating, Collaborating, and Celebrating.
Students cannot work during class meeting times.
- Set up A / V equipment for classes and meetings as needed.
- Camera Operator
- Edit videos
- Assist with inventory of equipment.
- Transfer, deliver, and set up portable A / V equipment to fill the needs of the college.
- Ensure a clean and safe workspace.
- Attend all meetings and training sessions as required.
- Assist Digital Media department with needs.
- Maintain a working cell phone for calls on standby projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong Organizational and multitasking skills
- Some knowledge of basic video connection
- Use of hand and some power tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Demonstrated commitment to professionalism and confidentiality
