This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity for a current student to gain valuable work experience while contributing to the success of Lake Sumter State College. The Student Assistant will provide essential support, working closely with faculty and staff to ensure efficient operation or departmental activities.
This is a part-time position with an expected commitment of 20-25 hours per week. The schedule will be flexible to accommodate the student's academic and other responsibilities. Responsible for demonstrating LSSC's values of Caring, Communicating, Collaborating, and Celebrating.
Students cannot work during class meeting times.

- Assist with leading the student intramural sports campus board
- Assist with intramural/event registration and oversee intramural/event rosters
- Assist with implementing procedures, policies, and equipment/field checks and repairs
- Inventory all intramural/event equipment and assist with ordering trophies, t-shirts etc.
- Communicate accurately and timely with staff and students as needed.
- Assist with scheduling sports events, facilities, and officials
- Assist with the development of electronic and paper communication tools
- Willingness to travel between other LSSC campuses
- Perform Other duties as assigned

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

- Currently enrolled at Lake Sumter State College (min. 6 credit hours)
- Currently, hold and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA
