Lake Superior Consulting (LSC) is a growing Engineering company serving multiple Industries including but not limited to, Liquids & Natural Gas, Renewables, Water & Wastewater, Manufacturing & Mining, and Commercial & Municipalities. The Project Manager is responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary project team to execute Client work scopes and collaborating with LSC’s management team to ensure company goals are met. Projects typically include Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and Structural Engineering while some projects may span across one or more business units.

Responsibilities:
- Project Manager will report to the IE Project Management Director to develop opportunities and execute project work.
- Work with LSC’s Project Management and Engineering teams to assess opportunities, generate proposals, and assemble project teams to successfully execute projects.
- Manage multiple projects using traditional project management practices to deliver the highest quality product on time and on budget while minimizing risk through the entire project lifecycle from prospect to closeout.
- Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills. Identify resource needs for each project, and work with Project Management teams and discipline managers to secure resources.
- Work with and coordinate project teams from multiple LSC office locations.
- Develop project organization charts and establish roles and responsibilities for each project stakeholder
- Maintain estimate at completion (EAC) tool for work breakdown elements throughout each project.
- Provide project status reports to clients as required.
- Maintain a current understanding of each project’s status and potential future issues, through regular site visits and communications with project personnel and client stakeholders.
- Understand risks, anticipate issues, assess potential impacts, and select appropriate mitigation strategies early.
- Provide formal training and Mentorship to Project Engineers, Associate Project Managers, and Project Coordinators.
- Work with and coordinate project teams from multiple LSC office locations.
- Contribute to technical execution of projects as required.
- Work with the Integrity Management teams on projects required IM support and utilize client relationships to cross-sell IM service lines.
- Work with the Director, Project Management on department initiatives and LSB business goals.
Education, Certifications/Licenses, Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related Technical Discipline Required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience executing project work
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience required
- PMP certification preferred
- Working knowledge of project management concepts and tools, and ability to apply these to deliver a defined project scope on time and within budget
- Working knowledge of applicable State and Federal regulatory requirements that govern the oil and natural gas pipeline industry (49 CFR Part 192 & 195) preferred
- Proficiency with MS Office, particularly with Project and Excel
- Ability to work in group settings with a project team.
- Ability to act as a leader and team player with good communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the project team and organization
- Demonstrated ability to positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interest of the project team and organization
- Enjoy working in a team environment, able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally, to achieve the goals of the organization

- The job requires the ability to sit for extended periods at a computer workstation. Routinely use standard office equipment such as but not limited to: computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk, and hear.
- Frequent periods of standing for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work long hours when projects demand.

Salary : $91,000 - $121,000
