LAKE SUPERIOR CONSULTING is currently growing at a fast pace and as part of that growth, we are seeking to fill a position as a Temporary Survey Technician in Pittsburgh, PA.
This role is expected to have a thorough knowledge of various types of surveys and survey equipment. This role will be responsible to set up, adjust and operate the equipment used at project sites. This role will work with a Survey Crew Chief to aid in the collection of field data, laying out construction sites, and marking underground utilities.

Responsibilities:
- Efficiently set up and operate GPS and Total Station equipment
- Assist with locating underground utilities using locating equipment
- Support projects using competent and ethical principles and techniques
- Basic understanding of reading and interpreting project plans and technical drawings
- Support survey crew in a professional and proficient manner
- Be professional when interacting with clients, contractors, and landowners
- Follow all safety procedures put into place
- Construction staking
- Successfully troubleshoot equipment and other issues that may occur
- Minimum of 2 years survey field experience preferred
- Completes projects using quality and ethical principles and techniques
- Ability to hold and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a DOT and company required drug and alcohol test
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Willingness to work extra hours when project demands
- Travel up to 70-100%
- Frequent periods of standing and walking for long periods
- Occasional lifting of equipment up to 50lbs
- Exposure to weather including heat and cold climates
- Ability to work long hours and possible overtime when projects demand

Salary : $20 - $24
