Job Summary
Works under the direction of the Director of Patient Accounting, the Accounts Receivable Manager will have overall responsibility for the submission of third party and government billing on a timely basis, re-billing, logging functions and the determination of collectibility and payment follow-up of all patient/resident accounts. Supervises one or more employees
Duties
- Administers third party and government claims submission
- Oversees and maintains insurance follow-up attempts on a timely basis
- Trains new employees and hold in-house training sessions
- Maintains daily billing and collections productivity reports
- Supervises and maintains logging procedures and ascertains their accuracy
- Directs the handling of inquires from insurance carries and patients/residents and fiduciary representatives regarding insurance claims, private pay matters and ascertains that they are answered correctly and timely
- Maintains and manages all open patient accounts for appropriate handling
