Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and community-minded Administrative Assistant to provide clerical and administrative support to ensure the effective operations of our Chamber office. This part-time role is perfect for those who value flexibility and want to contribute to a thriving small-town atmosphere.
Hours:
- Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- Mondays and weekends off, except for occasional special events.
Compensation:
- Up to $15 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
Office Administration:
- Answer phone calls with a friendly, customer-service approach.
- Update member information on Chamber websites.
- Retrieve, open, sort, and distribute mail and email correspondence.
- Prepare reports and documents for meetings.
Member Services & Sales Support:
- Connect with new Chamber members to assist with onboarding.
- Assist in providing exceptional service to Chamber members.
Event Coordination:
- Help organize and execute community events such as the annual tree lighting, weekly networking meetings, Christmas luncheon, and annual awards dinner.
Public Relations & Outreach:
- Assist in managing and posting content to the Chamber social media page(s)
- Engage with local businesses and the public to foster a welcoming Chamber environment.
Finance & Accounting Assistance:
- Support financial processes, including basic bookkeeping tasks.
- Make bank deposits on behalf of the Chamber.
Other duties as needed to support the President and Chamber operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Google Drive and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with Chamber members and the public.
