What You'll Do
The ATM & Security Support Specialist is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of Automated Teller Machines (ATMs), Teller Cash Recyclers (TCRs), and DVR security cameras. This role focuses on diagnosing and resolving both hardware and software issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability of these devices.
- Diagnose and repair internal components such as card readers, cash dispensers, printers, sensors, TCR mechanisms, and security cameras.
- Perform preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn-out parts.
- Conduct hardware upgrades and modifications as required.
- Install, configure, and update ATM, TCR, and DVR/Camera software, including operating systems, Firmware, and application software.
- Troubleshoot software issues, including connectivity problems, transaction errors, and system crashes.
- Perform software patches and security updates to ensure compliance with industry standards. Install and configure new ATMs, TCRs, and DVR/Camera systems at various locations.
- Ensure proper setup and integration with existing network infrastructure.
- Conduct initial testing and verification to ensure devices are fully operational.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve hardware and software malfunctions.
What You’ll Bring
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Associate degree in electronics, computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in ATM, TCR, and DVR camera maintenance and repair, with a strong emphasis on both hardware and software support required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in new installations of ATMs, TCRs, and DVR camera systems required.
- Excellent ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics, and to document and report maintenance and repair work required.
- CompTIA A certification preferred.
- Additional certifications such as ATMIA Certified ATM Technician (CATM), or Certified Hardware
- Technician (CHT) preferred.
- Willingness to be available for flexible on-call support outside of regular business hours required.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment, and to work in various environments, including outdoor locations required.
- Must maintain a valid Michigan driver's license required.
