JOB SUMMARY
-
The Maintenance Mechanic performs corrective and preventative maintenance, operates assigned machinery and equipment, tests equipment and systems and constructs and modifies equipment and systems as directed. Also responsible for transporting supplies, equipment and waste, as well as maintaining outside grounds.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
-
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
-
Experience: Three (3) years job-related experience.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Class C Boiler's License; or initial acquisition of Special Engineer License within ninety (90) days following date of hire and must obtain a 2nd Class C (2-C) Boiler's License prior to the expiration of the initial Special Engineers License or within fifteen (15) months of hire into this position if a Special Engineers License was already possessed on and has been maintained since the date of hire. Once Boilers License has been obtained the Special Engineers license is no longer required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Two (2) years Technical or Trade School

Experience: Previous experience with heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing; AND/OR previous related experience in a health care setting.
