Position Requirements:
Customer Interaction:
- Greet all customers warmly, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Enthusiastically assist customers with inquiries, purchases, and directions within the facility.
- Maintain a positive, approachable demeanor to enhance the customer experience.
Fuel Management:
- Track fuel sales and monitor inventory levels to ensure consistent supply.
- Coordinate fuel purchases as needed, maintaining vendor relationships for competitive pricing.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at the gas dock during fueling operations.
Team Leadership:
- Schedule, train, and supervise gas dock crew members to maintain efficient operations.
- Organize shift rotations and ensure adequate staffing during peak times.
- Foster a positive team environment, encouraging teamwork and high customer service standards.
Cashier Duties:
- Serve as the primary cashier, processing transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain an organized and secure cash drawer, balancing at the end of each shift.
- Address customer inquiries regarding pricing, product availability, and promotions.
Apparel & Merchandise Ordering:
- Collaborate with vendors to select and order apparel in appropriate colors, styles, and quantities.
- Analyze sales trends to make informed decisions on seasonal inventory adjustments.
- Ensure merchandise displays are appealing, organized, and refreshed regularly.
Inventory Management:
- Order groceries and convenience store items to match seasonal demand and customer preferences.
- Monitor inventory levels, reducing waste by maintaining optimal stock quantities.
- Negotiate with suppliers for favorable pricing and timely deliveries.
Facility Maintenance:
- Ensure the facility, including the showroom, gas dock, and retail areas, is clean and well-organized.
- Perform routine checks for safety hazards, addressing issues promptly.
- Coordinate with cleaning staff or perform light maintenance tasks such as sweeping, trash removal, and sanitizing surfaces.
Required Skills and Qualities:
- Outgoing and Positive Attitude: Natural ability to engage with customers and team members in a friendly and approachable manner.
- People Management & Scheduling: Strong leadership skills to organize schedules, manage a team effectively, and resolve personnel issues.
- Computer Proficiency: Comfortable using point-of-sale systems, inventory management software, and basic office applications (e.g., email, spreadsheets).
- Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented approach to maintaining an organized workspace, accurate inventory tracking, and effective time management.
- Availability: Willingness to work weekends and peak summer holidays to accommodate high customer traffic.
- Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Ability to think on your feet and handle unexpected challenges in a fast-paced environment.
