- Preparing for and supporting live event LWSD school board meetings and study sessions as needed to assist or serve as back-up for the lead Video/Multimedia Specialist.
- Operates television broadcast equipment including video cameras, studio lighting, audio mixing boards, video signal processors, video and audio signal compressors, streaming media server, audio recorders, picture monitors, editing systems and other specialized technology necessary to broadcast live LWSD School board meetings and Study sessions.
- Provides video production support for Video/Multimedia Specialist as needed for LWSD School board meetings and Study sessions.
- Attends meetings to receive and/or convey information and training.
- Models appropriate behavior for staff and the public.
- Follows LWSD policies, procedures and protocols.
- Ideally has an interest in broadcasting or a related field involving video and audio production
- Customer Service: Significant interaction with staff, parents, and the community is required. Assists other personnel as may be required to support them in the completion of their work activities. Written policies and procedures exist.
- Decision Making: Makes timely decisions appropriate to the situation and guidance provided by law, procedures, District policies and supervisor’s parameters.
- Strategic Planning: Provides strategic planning input to supervisor; develops plans for communications programs
- Impact on the Organization: Impacts District operational success and community support in a visible and tangible way.
- Technical Skills: A professional knowledge in a range of subjects related to the position is required. The person in this position serves as a source of information to others and must possess excellent writing, editing and speaking skills.
- Technology Skills: The position requires a person with a good knowledge in the use of differing hardware and software technologies related to the responsibilities of the position and the ability to identify processes related to the position that may benefit through the use of technology.
- Associates degree or higher is required, preferably in broadcasting or a related field involving video and sound editing, evaluative and communication skills;
- Three or more years of experience in video production.
