About the role
We’re looking for a Finance and Accounting Associate to join our team and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, optimizing cash flow, and managing accounts payable and receivable processes. In this role, you’ll deliver valuable financial insights and support data-driven decision-making to help drive LAKE's financial performance and growth. You will...
- Assist with the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close process in accordance with US GAAP and within our NetSuite environment.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports, such as balance sheets and P&L statements, and ensure that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Assist with management of credit card programs, travel and expense tool and policies (in partnership with People Department), and treasury management.
- Assist with inventory accounting and reconciliations, including analysis on margins, turn/productivity, aging, landed costs, etc.
- Complete various financial / accounting analysis where appropriate, to facilitate improved decision-making across all departments.
- Help manage third-party relationships with functional partners including state/federal tax firm, payroll platform, sales tax reporting firm, etc.
- Participate in various strategic financial projects and analyses.
You should have...
- 2-5 years of experience in Accounting or Financial Analysis.
- Bachelor and/or Master in Accounting or Finance.
- Familiarity with accounting & financial planning (ERP) software, NetSuite preferred.
- Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects while consistently meeting target dates.
- Exceptional critical thinking abilities, with ability to connect dots, see around corners, understand upstream and downstream impacts with balance to qualitative and quantitative business considerations.
- High tactical and high strategic inclination, with desire and ability to execute workflows while also acting as a strategic partner.
- Excellent financial planning and analytical skills. Strong MS Excel skills required.
- Great teammate with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to interact with all levels of management.
