Lake Detox and Wellness Center operates four innovative facilities throughout South Louisiana. Members of Lake Wellness Center have years of experience in working with patients battling addiction. We work with the St. Charles Parish Drug Court by providing care to their participants. The St. Charles Parish Adult Drug Court, which started in 2001, has seen over 100 people successfully complete a rigorous five phase program which involves intensive outpatient counseling, frequent court appearances, AA meetings, monitoring via regular drug testing, obtaining a GED, and gaining and holding steady employment. While the minimum length of treatment in Drug Court is 16 to 18 months, many clients are in Drug Court for 24 months or longer prior to graduation Our treatment team is staffed with caring, compassionate, and qualified clinicians.

If you join our team, you’ll enjoy the following responsibilities:
- Provide clinical services via individual, group and family therapy.
- Provide crisis intervention and referrals for patients.
- Participate in clinical assessments and screenings to aide in the admissions process.
- Write and submit clinical master admission, discharge and updated treatment plans, and clinical updates for UR review.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations based on the model/treatment criteria.
- Engage patients at admission and through their treatment episode to ensure delivery of the best patient care with unconditional positive regard.
- Document patient notes, interventions, phone calls, and overall patient data, including symptom monitoring.
- Document weekly progress notes and weekly progress questionnaires.
- Keep all patient charts up to date.
- Work collaboratively with the medical and clinical team and provide immediate notification of unusual or potentially high-risk findings.
- Actively participate in weekly medical and/or clinical staffing of patients.
- Contact current patients on a regular basis to keep patients engaged.
- Provide support for clinical services to other team members when needed.
- Adhere to rules and regulations regarding treatment, such as group size, caseload and referrals.
- Aggressively implement continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
You must have the following education, skills and experience to be considered:
- Minimum of a Master’s degree preferred.
- Current, unrestricted license – LAC (with Master's Degree), LMSW, LCSW, LPC (or PLPC).
- Prior experience as a clinician, providing therapy services in addiction treatment or dual-diagnosis.
- Possess an understanding of the role of 12-step principles in sobriety.
- Ability to positively interact and develop rapport with patients and their families, professional support staff, team members and various individuals from the community agencies.
- Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally.
- High energy with engaging personality and strong people skills.
- Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; and participates in meetings.
- Ability to multi-task and successfully prioritize workload.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
