What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Lifeguard position at Lake Wildwood Association?
Lake Wildwood is a wonderful community with a unique history of being the oldest private community in Bibb County. This lakeside community began over 50 years ago, with twelve ‘founding families.’ The large clubhouse deck overlooks an Olympic sized pool and picnic pavilion as well as the beach swimming area. The recreation area also features a mini golf course, full size tennis court and full size basketball court.
Job description:
Hours: 10:30am – 7:30pm, Tuesday – Sunday (Hours/Times may vary)
*WEEKENDS REQUIRED*
Lifeguard responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Opening, Hourly and Closing the duties each day according to Daily Lifeguard Checklist
- Closely monitor residents and guests in the pool area, identifying safety issues throughout shift
- Providing swim tests to ensure proper water safety
- Provide lifesaving CPR/First Aid when needed
- Perform routine pool maintenance tasks such as cleaning and equipment checks
- Assist with guest services, providing information and support to patrons
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of equipment
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay current with lifeguarding techniques and safety protocols
Skills and Qualifications:
While teaming with Lake Wildwood, you’ll enjoy:
· Current Lifeguard Certification (class will be held for those needing certification)
· CPR and First Aid Certification (class will be held for those needing certification)

Pay & Bonus:
1. $100 Sign on Bonus, if already Lifeguard Certified for Deep Water and CPR/First Aid Certified
2. If not certified, Up to $300 reimbursement for Lifeguard Certification at the completion of 60 working days
3. Pay set at $10-$13 per hour, depending on experience
