Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Level II)

Job Summary: Level II Maintenance Technicians are responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on various types of equipment; and performing a wide variety of maintenance duties including preventative, emergency, cosmetic and routine maintenance to ensure the safest and most practical methods are implemented to maximize safety and compliance with all regulatory agencies for all rides, equipment, and facilities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily pre-opening inspection of all rides.
  • Technicians must provide their own tools up to 1 ¼".
  • Maintain accurate ride inspection records for daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and other inspections of equipment and general preventative maintenance.
  • Responsible for inspections, preventive/predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and reacting to unplanned maintenance needs for all rides, machinery, and facilities.
  • Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills with focus on attention to detail
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED certificate is desired.
  • One-year related experience or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must hold position of Maintenance Technician I for one consecutive year or equivalent.
  • Must receive AIMS or NAARSO Maintenance Technician I certification or equivalent before advancing.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 75 lbs. consistently with heavier weight necessary at times.
  • Physical exertion such as frequent bending, twisting, stretching, stooping, and reaching overhead.
  • Standing and walking for long periods on surfaces such as uneven surfaces and hard flooring.
  • Working at high altitudes up to 140 feet and potentially hazardous conditions.
  • Varying work hours extending up to eighteen (18) hour workdays under some circumstances.
  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions in a wide range of temperatures.
  • Working with chemicals and other cleaning agents.
  • Working in confined spaces.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as requested by management, and must be able to work well in a public environment, as well as behind the scenes.
  • Strong repair and maintenance techniques and practices capabilities.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems as they arise.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, specifically as it pertains to Ride Manuals and Service Bulletins.
  • Valid drivers license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Experience in operating industrial equipment (forklift, manlift, etc.) would be helpful.
  • Ability to work with various electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic power tools.
  • Functional knowledge of mechanical components (valves, pipe fittings, bearings motors, gearboxes, etc.
  • Act with integrity in all areas of the job you are performing.

  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
  • Adhere to company, state and federal safety standards and regulations.
