Bridgetown Veterinary Emergency and Referral (BVER) is a specialty animal hospital located in Portland Oregon. Our hospital team includes highly skilled veterinarians specializing in Emergency/Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Surgery, Ophthalmology and are supported by dedicated technicians and support staff.

Who are we looking for right now?
Bridgetown Veterinary Emergency & Referral is looking for experienced Certified Veterinary Technicians, for our ICU team. Our ICU departmentoffers 312-hour shifts. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in ER/ICU preferred.
Essential Job Functions
- Monitor and care for hospitalized and critical patients
- Perform diagnostic tests and procedures and alert DVM of abnormal results
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by DVM
- Provide support and education to pet owners
- Maintain accurate medical records utilizing Smartflow and EzyVet software
Required Skills
- Valid certification as a Veterinary Technician in the state of Oregon (CVT)
- Prior experience in a specialty veterinary hospital required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in fast paced environment and handle stressful situations with composure
- Strong phlebotomy and venipuncture skills, including advanced intravenousand arterial catheter and sampling line placement skills preferred
- Strong knowledge of medications and potentialdrug interactions
- Confidentwith use of Vasopressors and CRI calculations
- Strong foundation of common lifesaving procedures including chest taps, urinary deobstruction, blood transfusions, and CPR
- Assisting and monitoring of surgical and sedated procedures, including management of high-riskASA patients. Additional anesthesia training provided.

Starting: $30 per hour (based on experience) $5 differential from 10p-6a
