Requirements:
Applicants must have obtained their Certified Veterinary Assistant credentialsthrough the Texas Veterinary Medical Association programORhave a minimum of 2 years working in a Veterinary setting with technical responsibilities.
Must have a broad knowledge of animal science, medicine, including a basic knowledge of pharmacology and sufficient mathematical skills to ensure the administration of accurate drug and fluid doses
Be comfortable handling and restraining dogs (large and small) and cats
Duties include, but are not limited to: Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, in house laboratory analysis, radiology, laser therapy, surgical assistance, dentistry, dental radiographs, pre and post-surgical care, anesthesia and cardiac monitoring, client education and maintaining client records. We are willing to train you forthese duties!
Must be able to work alternating Saturdays (every other until 12pm) and someweekends.
Pay is commensurate with experience.
