Laundry Attendant
Housekeeping is one of the most important departments in the hotel, as keeping a high standard of overall cleanliness throughout the property is of utmost importance. To be successful, you will need knowledge of, and experience in cleaning and sanitizing rooms to meet and exceed requirements. Whether preparing fresh linens for guest rooms or handling back-of-house laundry needs, the Laundry Attendant plays a key role in creating an inviting, seamless environment for both guests and team members. This role also ensures all items are cleaned, sanitized, and presented in pristine condition, supporting the overall operations of the housekeeping department and contributing to the luxury standard our guests expect. This position is dependent on both teamwork and individual efforts.
THE DUTIES OF A LAUNDRY ATTENDANT WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:
· Keep an updated inventory of linens, beddings, and towels
· Track maintenance and repairs on laundering equipment
· Anticipate and respond to customers, managers and supervisors' queries, concerns, and complaints
· Track the discarded items daily
· Communicate and cooperate with other laundry staff regarding the work task
· Sort, wash, dry, press, and fold clothing and other textile items
· Remove stains from items using the appropriate procedures
· Perform minor sewing duties as needed
· Operate all washers, dryers, and other equipment in the department
· Report any issues that require maintenance and attention
Willingly perform other reasonable tasks and duties as assigned by Management
