Public Area Attendant
Housekeeping is one of the most important departments in the hotel, as keeping a high standard of overall cleanliness throughout the property is of utmost importance. The department ensures that luxury invites our guests to relax and stay awhile, providing our team with the opportunity to provide impeccable service. This position is dependent on both teamwork and individual efforts, public area attendants are responsible for the general cleanliness and safety of all the public places in a hotel. This means lobbies, restrooms, common areas, and hallways are expected to be cleaned daily.
THE DUTIES OF A PUBLIC AREA ATTENDANT WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:
· Clean public and employee restrooms and showers.
· Clean glass in public and employee areas.
· Clean floor surfaces in public or employee spaces using designated cleaning supplies.
· Dust surfaces in assigned areas.
· Empty trash containers and ashtrays in public areas into proper containers.
· Report any repairs or other maintenance issues directly to Management.
· Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
· Willingly perform other reasonable tasks and duties as assigned by Management.
