Lakeland Central School District is seeking a Teaching Assistant at the elementary level. This employee provides instructional services to students under the general supervision of a certified teacher. Responsibilities include working with pupils or groups of pupils on special projects; providing teacher with information about pupils that will assist teacher in the development of appropriate learning experiences; assisting pupils in the use of available instructional resources and assisting in instructional programs in various subject areas. May be assigned to work with children with disabilities with taking notes, helping with mobility issues, assisting with personal physical assistance to individual children (clothing, feeding, wash-up bathroom, behaviors intervention as required) Minimum acceptable training and experience: Level I Teaching Assistant Certificate. This candidate shall have attained a high school diploma or its equivalent. The certificate shall be valid for three years from its effective date. M-F Salary: $32,377 - $45,567
