Must provide activities, incentives, and discipline methods for challenging behaviors in our “Zen Zone”. Use Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) techniques to create a positive, nurturing environment that will help them succeed in a camp setting, build relationships with children, and develop new skills with peers and counselors. Candidates are required to have the ability to access and provide behavioral plans, incorporate SEL techniques, and have good communication with staff. Excellent opportunity for ABA Therapists and Counseling graduates/students.
Timeframe
June 23 – August 15, 2025 (no camp July 4)
8:30am-3:30pm
Essential Functions
- Set up and break down the Zen Zone daily.
- Develop interventions, behavior assessments and behavior plan for campers with challenging behaviors.
- Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining an environment conducive to camp.
- Develop a follow-up plan with staff and campers.
- Familiarize yourself with campers’ history/files/medications.
- Create and execute activities that relate to behavioral issues for improvement.
- Work with staff to ensure the inclusion of all children.
- Communicate positively and professionally with staff.
- Give positive direction and set a professional example to staff.
- Prepare age-appropriate skill building activities for the “Zen Zone” using SEL curriculum.
- Use good judgment in all situations to keep children safe and happy.
- Work cooperatively with the admin team.
- Complete required documentation and communicate to Camp Director when suspension or termination is required.
- Must participate in staff training.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in education or any other related field; two years of professional experience.
- Previous experience working with school age children.
Salary : $19 - $20
