Description
Under the direction of the Director of Building & Grounds, the Maintenance & Housekeeping Supervisor will support all maintenance needs of the YMCA. Responsibilities include dealing with all cleanliness issues, preventative maintenance on all equipment, management of vendors when necessary, and the purchasing of supplies. The Maintenance & Housekeeping Supervisor directs and supervises maintenance staff in the absence of the Director. The primary function of the Maintenance & Housekeeping Supervisor is to keep all maintenance operations working efficiently for the use of our members. The Maintenance & Housekeeping Supervisor will:
- Assist with the maintenance of all the equipment inside the building as per preventative maintenance program and will schedule annual inspections.
- Assist with the supervision of all personnel assigned to maintenance including outside contractors such as HVAC, landscaping, painting, electrical, plumbing, etc., part-time maintenance staff, and volunteers in the absence of the Director. Review and direct the work of the cleaning contractors on a regular basis.
- Maintain a vendor/supplier and contractor list that includes the requirements for outside maintenance services and maintenance service contracts.
- Develop, update, and maintain all maintenance files and records of equipment history including a building walkthrough checklist.
- Catalogue and maintain design drawings and specifications, shop drawings, and equipment manuals for the facility.
- Maintain lobby vending machines including ordering supplies, stocking the supply closet, filling vending machines, and recording revenues.
- Attend monthly Building and Grounds committee meetings to provide reports, scheduling and follow-up as required.
- Assist the Supervisor in determining whether the building should be closed or open on snow days.
- Assist with the development of capital and departmental budgets and the forecasting of major maintenance and repair projects.
- Call in outside maintenance help and services as required or as directed by the Supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Should have at least 5 years of experience in the maintenance area.
- Knowledge of swimming pool maintenance and filtration systems required within six months of employment.
- Mechanical maintenance experience with HVAC systems is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and architectural drawings and specifications preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Salary : $50,000 - $56,500
