Responsible for serving as the first point of contact for all incoming visitors, setting a courteous and professional needed for listening and responding to their individual needs. Medical Receptionists must be able to follow standardized workflows consistently to verify and capture all data needed to record every visit and communicate clearly with others. Excellent customer service skills are required to appropriately address any scenario encountered.
Standard Work Duties: LRHPG Patient Access Representative
- Kindly acknowledge all visitors promptly using a professional tone to initiate contact as they approach.
- Follow set guidelines for verifying identity, correctly capturing, recording, and updating all required data for every visitor.
- Verify insurance eligibility, collect all payments all payment due, and issuing receipts before allowing patients to navigate towards provider back offices.
- Responsibly handling a cash drawer daily for all financial transactions, balancing cash at the end of each shift, and following set protocol for the safekeeping.
- Promptly answering incoming phone calls, carefully listening to the caller's needs and being courteous when responding, and making warm transfers to other departments within the organization.

Essential:
