Pay Rate: Min $17.84 Mid $20.53 Position Summary

Responsible for performing full echocardiograms, TEEs and stress echoes and all reports associated with exam. Must be able to complete a full protocol with minimal assistance. A registered cardiac sonographer will check intern’s work to confirm all information has been acquired.

Standard Work: Echo Tech Intern

Ability to perform procedures efficiently, professionally and safely, requiring minimal supervision.

Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, pathophysiology, electrophysiology and congenital anomalies. Knowledge of digital cardiology PACS system used for reporting.

Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of cardiovascular ultrasound techniques and modalities and is able to accept constructive criticism.

Maintains Echo equipment and supplies as described in department SOP.

Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

• High School or Equivalent

Other information: Experience Essential: - Enrollment in an Echocardiography program and current in his or her full extern rotation 4-5 days a week - BLS Certified
